Longer conversations than a comment thread allows: people who made the move, the businesses that helped them, and the things that only make sense once you have lived here a while.
How this pays for itself
No secret about it
The group is free and always will be. It pays for itself because local businesses sponsor content, and because some of the companies in our directory pay us a referral fee.
Three rules we hold ourselves to. Anything paid for is labelled as paid for. A business cannot buy its way into the directory, which is editorial and stays that way. And we do not work with anyone unless there is something in it for the group, usually a discount or an offer you would not otherwise get.
We are not licensed to give migration, financial, mortgage or insurance advice and we never do. Every partner link hands you to the provider to deal with directly.
